Thank you Secret Pals

Here's a long overdue thank you to my Secret Pal 9 (Rebecca) who sent me a wonderful final package with soy silk for me to spin and a lovely handspun, handknit scarf.

Also, thank you to my Handspun Secret Pal (Deborah) from the Interweave "Spin to Knit" swap.

This is 60 yards of Romney spun up at 18 wpi from a "sheep named Lucy."

Here are three skeins of Wilton dyed Merino and Cotswold wool. Pretty cool looking with the barberpole action there.

The last package was filled to the brim with Dove chocolate eggs, a skein of 50/50 silk merino in shades of blue that remind me of ocean depths, a bookmark for me to decorate with beads and an awesome spindle with an antiqued asian coin as the whorl. The spindle has multiple uses. The top stone "donut" can be removed for a lighter spindle, and I can remove the shaft from the whorl and use the stick as a hairstick. Pretty cool, eh?

Thanks Rebecca and Deborah for being great pals. :)

Wow! Love the secret pal goodness! Glad things worked out with the spinning swap. Maybe it's time for me to get into another secret pal swap?
